PureMessage Spam Management
CSInet has listened to our customer wants and needs for junk email (spam) filtering.

Your feedback generally falls into one of three categories:

  • 1) "Do Not Filter. Leave my email alone. Deliver everything as-is."
  • 2) "Do Not Filter. Mark suspect email [SPAM xx%] to help me decide.
    Deliver everything."
  • 3) "Filter my Email! I want the PureMessage server to remove the spam
    from my email!"
We have incorporated these ideas into our junk email filtering service, and are now offering you the choice of how much filtering you would like to have done, if any.


Option (1): "Do Not Filter. Leave my email alone. Deliver everything as-is."

This is for people who do not want any email filtering done, whatsoever. Your email will remain untouched and everything will be delivered directly to you.

Option (2): "Do Not Filter. Mark suspect email [SPAM xx%] to help me decide. Deliver everything."

This is for people who would like our PureMessage server to tag suspect messages so that you can easily sort them yourself. This is a great option to discover how well PureMessage is performing while still receiving everything. With this option you can easily setup a "Junk Email" folder and have your email program automatically sort your incoming email. Once you are comfortable with PureMessage's ability to detect and flag junk email, you might want to consider the third option.

Option (3): "Filter my Email! I want the PureMessage server to remove the spam from my email!"

The option is for those who are fed up with the daily onslaught of junk email of "all" types. If you are not interested in refinancing your home, buying Viagra, or getting rich overnight, this option is for you. PureMessage will dramatically reduce, if not eliminate, the flow of unwanted email.



How do I select what option to use?

Please visit the Account Management page and Login. Once you're logged in, you may review and manage your account. The Email Filter tab contains the (3) different options outlined above, that allow you to customize your email filtering. Make your selection on this screen by clicking the option of your choice. Click the "Save" button for your new selection to take effect immediately.



Managing Your Own Email Address List

CSInet Spam (Junk Email) servers now have the ability for our users to manage their own Approved and Blocked Email Address lists. These new features provide greater control over your email account. Please review the questions and answers below to help clarify these options and how to use them.
